Speaking

Love and relationships are completely different in college than at any other time of your life and I get that.  I understand the complicated world of hook-ups, misused technology and walks of shame and have created programs very relevant to today’s college student.

My interactive speeches and workshops will have everyone laughing and engaging as they talk about today’s most complicated topics.  Every participant will walk away with new healthier mindsets and strategies that they can apply immediately.

Why should I come to speak at your school?  I am not only a speaker but also a life coach, blogger and college love expert who spends all day, every day talking to college students about healthy relationships.

If your school is ready to kick the hook-up culture to the curb and help your fellow students be excited about love, contact me today to customize that program that is a good match for your school.

The Programs

Technology + Love = It’s Complicated

Should you text them or wait until they text you?  Add them as a friend?  Follow them on Twitter?  Should you Google them?  Delete your ex?  Was that sext you sent a mistake?

Dating is complicated.  Add Facebook, Twitter, texting, sexting, confusing relationship “rules” or wishy-washy people and it becomes downright hard.  The problem for most college students is that they are inventing the rules for dating, incorporating the technology of the moment and most are learning the hard way… from their own mistakes.

Dating coach, Kira Sabin, explores the world of constantly being connected (yet not feeling connected) to help men and women understand the confusion behind this new form of communication and how it is changing the world of dating.  Kira guides her students through dating 101 to help them understand:

  • when texting is not the best idea,
  • how to know if you are “Facebook official” and
  • how to use technology to help, not hurt, your relationships

Students will find themselves laughing, relating and walking away being able to answer the always important questions “to text or not to text.”

Walking Away From The Hook-Up

Dating? What is dating? Let’s face it. Hooking up is, and will most likely always be, a part of the college lifestyle.  Are people really creating healthy relationships by hooking up or just a lot of frustration?  What is the benefit to the instant gratification of hooking up and what’s the cost?

With college being the perfect time to understand ourselves and what want from life, are we missing our golden opportunities by simply taking the easy path of the hookup instead of exploring our deeper wants and desires?

This funny yet honest talk will address the challenges of living in the world of the easy-access hook-up.  Join Kira as she explores how hookups are hurting our expectations of relationships and how to change the hooking up culture on your campus.

From Ice to Nice: How to Be Approachable & Create Healthy Relationships

Did you know that most people know whether or not they like you in 30 seconds or less? Without even knowing it, we are letting others know that we are open (or not) to meeting new people… without even opening our mouths.  How you stand, create eye contact, smile or approach a situation may be at the root of your challenges making friends or finding a great person to date.

One of the greatest opportunities of college is meeting new people and creating friendships/relationships.  Yet, many people struggle with making an initial connection and keeping it going.

Join Kira for an interactive conversation on the science behind body language.  Whether you’re looking to make new friends or connect with someone you are interested in, join Kira as she explores:

  • The science behind “signals” — find out if you’re putting out the right signals when meeting new people.
  • How to get past the tricky second date or second connection
  • The best ways to approach someone you’re interested in and how to be perceived as truly approachable
  • Learn to start conversations that make people feel great and inspire them to want to spend time with you
  • Finally start setting realistic expectations so you stop getting hurt

Join Kira as she teaches her ice to nice principals to nurture your relationships (both romantic and platonic) into lasting bonds that remain in your life for years to come!
